Key Points
Self-mgmt (strengthening, low-impact aerobics, neuromuscular ed, etc) recommended, as are NSAIDS (oral/topical) or tramadol. Not recommended: glucosamine, chondroitin, hyaluronic acid; or arthroscopy w/ lavage +/- debridement in pts w/ primary dx of osteoarthritis.
