Anaphylaxis
life-threatening cases, incl. fatal have been reported; can occur at any time, from after 1st dose up to years after tx initiation; inform pts of anaphylaxis s/sx, which may overlap w/ post-infusion rxn incl. flushing, chest pain, palpitations, tachycardia, anxiety, dyspnea, constriction of the throat, and urticaria; instruct pts to seek immed. medical care if s/sx occur to avoid tx delay; contraindicated in pts w/ hypersensitivity rxn hx to glatiramer, incl. anaphylaxis; if anaphylaxis occurs, D/C tx immediately and permanently unless clear alternative etiology is identified
