Dosage forms:  INJ

otitis media and invasive pneumococcal dz prevention

[6 wk old-6 mo at series start]

Dose: 0.5 mL IM q4-8wk x3 doses, then 0.5 mL IM x1 at mo 12-15 and at least 8wk after prior dose

[7-11 mo at series start]

Dose: 0.5 mL IM x2 doses at least 4wk apart, then 0.5 mL IM x1 when pt >1 yo and at least 8wk after prior dose

[12-23 mo at series start]

Dose: 0.5 mL IM x2 doses at least 8wk apart

[24-59 mo at series start, healthy pts]

Dose: 0.5 mL IM x1

[24-71 mo at series start, pts w/ high infection risk]

Dose: 0.5 mL IM x2 doses at least 8wk apart

[6 yo and older at series start, pts w/ CSF leak or cochlear implant]

Dose: 0.5 mL IM x1 dose; Info: follow w/ PPSV23 at least 8wk after last PCV dose

[6 yo and older at series start, immunocompromised pts]

Dose: 0.5 mL IM x1 dose; Info: follow w/ PPSV23 at least 8wk after last PCV dose
