Does birth by cesarean delivery up the odds of early onset colorectal cancer?

Although this Swedish case-control study found no association between birth modality and early-onset CRC in the overall population, females born by cesarean delivery had greater odds of early-onset CRC compared with those born via vaginal delivery (adjusted odds ratio, 1.62; 95% confidence interval, 1.01-2.60). The findings suggest a link between early-life gut dysbiosis and early-onset CRC in females.
