Eli Lilly and Co, the maker of anti-obesity medicine Zepbound, said last week that it has launched a new telehealth site, called LillyDirect, to pair visitors with third-party, mail-order pharmacies for prescriptions and to care providers through a virtual medical weight-loss clinic.

Company CEO David Ricks said that “the new platform will make it easier for patients to access the [anti-obesity] drugs, cutting out the need to go to the doctor to get a prescription and then to a pharmacy to fill it. Patients who are prescribed Zepbound will be eligible for Lilly’s at-home prescription delivery service.”

Reuters reports that the obesity drug market is forecast to grow to about $100 billion by the end of the decade.
