FDA: Don't use SnoreStop Nasal Spray due to potential contamination
September 20, 2024
FDA issued a warning against use of SnoreStop Nasal Spray by Green Pharmaceuticals due to the potential for microbial contamination. Despite the agency's recall recommendations on August 13 and September 12, the company hasn’t recalled the product. An April 2024 inspection found contamination in lot 2460. Green Pharmaceuticals destroyed remaining products but didn’t recall sold items. In 2022, FDA warned the company for unapproved drugs and quality issues. Clinicians and consumers should report adverse events to FDA’s MedWatch Adverse Event Reporting program.
