Hidden ingredients found in 6 'energy boosters'

On Aug. 22, FDA issued warnings about 6 "energy enhancement" products containing undeclared sildenafil, the active ingredient in Viagra, or tadalafil, the active ingredient in Cialis. Viagra and Cialis are FDA approved for erectile dysfunction and are available by prescription only. Sildenafil and tadalafil may interact with nitrates such as nitroglycerin, which are often prescribed to people with diabetes, HTN, hypercholesterolemia, or heart disease, and lower BP to unsafe levels.
FDA lab analyses confirmed that the following "energy boosters" contain active sildenafil or tadalafil not listed on the labels:

These products are sold on websites including amazon.com and possibly in some retail stores.
FDA urges clinicians and consumers to report adverse events associated with these and other products to its MedWatch adverse event reporting program.
