Sepsis-induced hypotension: Liberal and restricted fluid strategies yield similar outcomes

In the unblinded CLOVERS trial involving 1,563 adults with suspected/confirmed infection and systolic BP <100 mm Hg following initial treatment with 1 to 3 L of IV fluid, a restrictive fluid strategy that prioritized vasopressors didn't lead to significantly higher or lower mortality by day 90 than did a liberal fluid strategy.
