Use the PEN-FAST decision tool to delabel patients without true penicillin allergy

PEN-FAST scores of 2 or less had a negative predictive value of 100% in this retrospective study at a large tertiary healthcare system. The tool can identify patients whose low-risk “penicillin allergy” can be safety delabeled—without requiring skin testing prior to an oral penicillin challenge.
